In our own testing on similar routers and devices with hacked software, the main sticking point has always been compliance with security protocols. Google quietly pushed an update to version 26.28 of Google Play Services , cutting out NFC transactions.
In TechNoid's lab, we observed that the system immediately detects the absence of Play Integrity API certification. Chinese ROMs do not have the necessary Google Mobile Services passed to the security partition by default, so Google simply applied its rules.

Which devices have problems in practice?

Our opinion at TechNoid
Google's move doesn't surprise us at all, even though it caused panic among thousands of users. The security of digital transactions cannot be based on software loopholes and unofficial ROMs from Asia.
Those who choose Chinese versions of devices to save money or get new models first know the risk. Google simply closed a security hole long ago, even if the timing was completely unexpected.
